Friday Aug 02, 2024

On this episode of the Blindspot, I talk about several events that have been in the news lately, from Israel's killing of a Hamas leader while the man was in Iran, to Donald Trump speaking at a convention of Black journalists, to Hesbollah attacking Israel, to Biden's negotiating  a prisoner swap with Russia, as I discuss, I kind of mull over things, and go on plenty of side-rants and blind alleys. Tune in and enjoy.

Honeymoon Phase

Saturday Jul 27, 2024

Saturday Jul 27, 2024

Last week on the Blindspot, I laid out what I believed Democrats should do after Joe Biden announced he would not seek his parties renomination for President. Naturally, they did the exact opposite. Now that Kamala Harris is the nominee, I've got plenty to say, which  I do. I also briefly discuss the political malleability of J.D. Vance and the resignation of the director of the Secret Service after that agencies horrendous handling of the Trump  assassination attempt - and her public explanations of how that was so mishandled, which were even worse. Tune in for that and more. Enjoy!

President Biden has decided not to seek his party's nomination due to concerns among Democrats about his chances of winning. This unprecedented move, not seen since the 1960s, has a lot of implications. In this episode of the Blindspot, I recap the political situation so far, explain the current state of the race, and discuss what might happen next. Who will be the Democratic nominee? Join me as I dive into these questions and more. Tune in for my thoughts on this historic moment and what it means for the future of the country.

Friday Jul 19, 2024

On the latest episode of The Blind Spot, I dive into the whirlwind of political news from the past three weeks in the United States. We start with Joe Biden's disastrous debate performance, followed by the frantic attempts at damage control. You'll hear about the growing calls from Democratic members of Congress and party elites for Biden to drop out, and his staunch refusal so far. I also cover the shocking attempted assassination of Donald Trump, his speech at the RNC, and reactions to the left-wing media coverage. Tune in for my thoughts on this chaotic situation. Enjoy!

Unsatisfied with my earlier discussion of the value of democracy, in this episode I approach the same subject in a different way. Enjoy!

A Defense of Democracy

In response to many of my friends criticizing aspects of their own democratic governments I've responded with my thoughts on why I think democracy is the best of a series of worse alternatives.

The Next Episode

Saturday Jun 01, 2024

Saturday Jun 01, 2024

I begin the show by talking about a friend of mine's negative attitudes towards the concept of rearing children, and then I have no idea what I talked about, but I do know that I continued to talk for some time, and got through another show, so, there's that. Enjoy.

Saturday May 25, 2024

Out of all the episodes of my show that I've done with no guest, this is the one I think is the best so far. Take a listen, and enjoy!

All the Things on My Mind Today

Thursday May 23, 2024

Thursday May 23, 2024

On today's episode of the Blindspot, I begin by discussing why the United States should not be a member of the International Criminal Court, which segues into a broader discussion of my thoughts on international law. I then transition into talking about former president Trump's Trial in New York on charges that he used Michael Cohen as a go between to pay hush money to the pornstar Stormy Daniels which is a violation of campaign finance law. I point out that Mr. Trump must have the most high stakes life in the entire world. I then transition to a discussion of why wokeism is a horrible solution for fixing racial disparities in the United States. Enjoy!

Why I am not a Republican

Wednesday May 22, 2024

Wednesday May 22, 2024

Some of my good friends have, with differing degrees of seriousness  said to me recently that I am a closeted Republican. Annoyed by their mistaken conclusions, I attempt to outline some of my views on major political issues, from the social safety net, healthcare, immigration, abortion, transgender issues, guns, Donald Trump, and several other topics. I don't know if I helped my case or proved theirs, but either way, enjoy this latest episode!
